Shared housing is a living arrangement where individuals rent a private or shared bedroom within a fully furnished home while sharing common areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces. Alexander Lloyde provides structured shared housing in the Atlanta metro area for adults transitioning to independent living.
Who qualifies for housing with Alexander Lloyde?
Our housing serves adults in the Atlanta metro area who are exiting homelessness, Domestic Violence situations, Justice Impacted or Military Service and are able to live independently. Residents must have a source of income, benefits, or placement support and agree to follow house rules. Individuals must be able to ambulate with/without supportive devices,
Is Alexander Lloyde Housing a shelter or transitional housing program?
No. Alexander Lloyde Housing is not a shelter, emergency housing program, or treatment facility. We provide shared residential housing for individuals who are ready for stable, structured living.
Do you accept referrals from local organizations?
Yes. We accept referrals from shelters, nonprofit organizations, hospitals, reentry programs, domestic violence agencies, and veteran service providers throughout Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Clayton, Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale counties.
Can individuals apply directly without a referral?
Yes. Individuals in the Atlanta metro area may inquire directly through our website. Referrals from case managers or partner organizations are preferred when available.
Are the homes furnished?
Yes. All homes are fully furnished and include beds & beddings, furniture, kitchen supplies, utilities, streaming services and Wi-Fi. Residents only need to bring personal belongings.
How much does shared housing cost in metro Atlanta?
Pricing varies based on the home and room type. We operate on a sliding scale basis. Our shared housing rates are designed to be affordable and all-inclusive. Third-party funding or program assistance may be accepted when available.

Length of stay varies based on individual circumstances and housing availability. There are no maximum stay restrictions. Residents can remain for as long as they choose providing there are no changes in their eligibility.
Do you provide case management or support services?
Alexander Lloyde Housing does not provide case management, however we partner with third party agencies to provide support as needed. We coordinate with local service providers and case managers to support successful housing placements.
Are the homes safe?
Yes. Safety is a top priority. All residents must follow house rules, including no violence, no illegal activity, and respect for others. Screening and resident agreements help maintain a stable living environment. All homes are equipped with surveillance cameras both inside and outside the home for safety
